*** Attention Dromo One Fans ***
They changed the track today. Remember the right then left hairpin then right hairpin just after the Start/Finish line? They removed that sequence and replaced all of it with a very fast right hand sweeper. The front straight now runs the length of the building and you take a right at VERY high speed. If you stay on the throttle you can drift the entire width of the building into the back straight. Not exactly the fastest way through it but it is a hoot.
Since nobody was there I talked to the Dromo One crew for awhile about the new track and they said they did it to increase speeds and open up the track a bit for more passing opportunities. Average speeds are way up and lap times are down in the 21 sec range now. I got 27 laps in counting qualifying. They said they were going to do a little more work on the back straight but for now it is still the same back there.
While the track is less technical now it is more fun since you really hit that new corner flying and pull some serious G's around it.
See you all on April 20th.

Wow, thanks for the update Matt!! That sure will be interesting to check out
I always wished I could take the karts at Dromo 1 up to higher speeds cause these karts have a pretty strong top end as it is and it seemed like the revs just keep on coming on the brief straightaway of the last layout.

Wow!
The one week I don't go (I'm there almost every Friday at 1:30 )
they go and make a change!!!!!
Now if we can just get them to bring out the new karts.
They've been sitting in the back for a few months already.
