My parents are considering moving there. Are there any good Chinese or Asian grocery stores in the neighborhood? I looked on Ranch 99's website, the closest store is in Van Nuys, which is not too far away, I'm just wondering what's nearby.

Seems like a really nice area, though perhaps not so exciting, but that's a good thing for retired folk like my parents. Have a friend who is quite happy living up there...he could tell me where to buy matzo balls but not pig's ear

Thanks! ... though I'm down in the South Bay, I imagine they'll come to us to see their grand kids more often than I'll be going up there...

But you can be sure I've already been thinking how their place would be a great pit stop on the way to Willow Springs!!!

this place sucks... jk your parents will like it, cause its a mellow place. theres not too much to do here in a sense, when compared to hollywoods nite life..... basicly a nice place to live-ONE

it was a calm place before, but there was nothing here before. just lately there building so many things here, i still remember when the mall over here wasnt here. there was nothing. i think theres a small asian store, but i think its a filipino store. i dont remember the streets, i think its on sanfernado and cross streets with that road that leads to canyon country.

Thanks everyone. It does indeed seem quite nice, quiet and peaceful up there in Valencia (at least when the fires aren't raging). Ranch 99 in Van Nuys should be a pretty easy commute.
