Default Ball joint separator, can i borrow yours?

i need your help socal, i want to do the cv swap but need a ball joint separator, went to the local parts store and all they had was the junky fork type.

anyone got one i can borrow?

let me know, i need it asap.

wtf? don't u have a shop & u don't have joint separator?

get'em @ snap-on.

or get a honda tool

07MAC-SL00200

or low budget style

a rubber hammer.

no shop yet, we are moving to a bigger place in nov. and thats when we get a lift and everything else.

I have a cheapo slam and break type of sperator, useful if you don't plan to reuse the boot =P

I watched a mechanic just lightly tap the arm adjacent to the ball joint with a sledge and the ball joint fell out. No special tools just a 10 lb sledge.

when i used it on the lower ball joints i just used a hammer

yeah a bfh will work. otherwise, you can go to autozone and rent a 'tierod end/ pitman arm puller' they work great for our car's balljoints.
