Don't know him, but he was fine; just a bruised ego. He lost the rear coming out of the last turn (checkered flag was waving in front of him - doh!), did a tank-slapper, and backed into the wall at maybe 15 mph. It was his first run session of the day.

The car was really nice - Mugen header/exhaust, plus that nice bronze paint job (originally Silverstone I think).

Three other S2000s showed up -- mine, Marty Roach's Comptech-supercharged white, and an older gent's Silverstone. The unofficial star of the event was a red '99 360 Modena F1. The official star of the event was 5Zigen's RSX racecar.

Those look like Michelin tarmac rally tires. Basically a slick made to the FIA rally rules. Not a DOT legal tire. Facinating choice...

Thanks for the answer on the tires.
Anybody else running with them?

Ummm the pic above doesn't offer a glowing recommendation. To me it screams "not a good idea" but then that's just me...

No, it's a 1st or 2nd gear corner, coming off of the skid pad onto the main straight (we were going clockwise).
