Type of cancer is VERY rare form of HCC (liver cancer)



full name is fibromellar hepatocellular carcinoma.

a rare form of HCC (hepatocellular carinoma) It's about 60-75% that its also found in the lymph nodes as it was in him.

thus far hes had it all removed (that they could find) however..... 98% chance of fatality in 3 years according to experts. Chemotherapy had NO affect, in fact the cancer grew during treatment of 3 chemo drugs considered VERY HARSH, they had little side affects at least...all he got was an itchy throat and loss of weight. I'm figuring he can move in with me down here, so I just landed a bigger place with an extra bedroom last week, I'm hoping we can find him good treatment here and he can just try to kick back relax and keep positive thoughts.

my mother had stage 3 C cervical cancer was kinda late when she found out but UCI did an excellent job removing the cancer cells and kept my mother alive. The doctors there knew what they were doing and were all very helpful in everyway. Best of luck to your best friend, and lets hope he does enjoy every minute of it.
