Default New 5-spd AP1 S2000 - LOL

Well last night I got on the freeway did my 2nd to 3rd to 4th to 5th speed up thingy and when I went for 6th gear it wasnt there. it was like it never was there to begin with, you couldnt even put it in the spot it was blocked off.

Not sure if anyone ever had this problem before. I took it down to cerritos honda and they said its gonna be like $700 just to figure out whats wrong, sorta lame considering I have honda-care warranty. I asked the tech whats the point of warranty if I have to pay to use it, he told me they pay to put it back on and the parts only.

Wondering if anyone ever seen this problem before? the clutch still works fine, all the other gears are ok... no grinding or anything and its not like I'v ever been going crazy in 6th haha

The only time I had a problem like this is when my shift linkage bent on one of my Civics with a swap, but since our car doesn't actually have a linkage I don't know man.. Sorry wish i could help.

If you take a look at this diagram it might be something in there?

i was thinking that maybe you were pressing down the shifter and pushed the car towards the reverse gear and thats what was blocking from shifting.

If you skip 5th a lot (I can understand why but...) theres a good chance you'll lose your 6th unless you are letting the rev's match

Supposedly its because you are making the 6th gear synchros work a lot harder because the RPM difference is larger going from 4th to 6th.
