Another big one going on in KTown right now......

When you stop at a light or stop sign, someone will either lighty hit your car or start shit so you get out. As soon as you do, other guys will appear out of nowhere with either bats, pipes, shanks or strapped up and jack you right there.

What police are telling you to do: Stay in your car and call the cops right away. Write down a description of the vehicle and person inside if possible.

^ Police advice wont work though, if you were the carjacker and ruthless--wouldnt you just smash the window into the drivers face and pull them out? Either that or bone out and both scenarios will be a loss to the driver.

Just be VERY aware of your surroundings and dont drive through KTown late at night unless you have homies nearby.
are F'in serious? damn gangsta's.

where's super tam when i need him.......... haha

A guy about 5 years ago attempted to carjack me for my MR2 with a knife..... I was like WTF and laughed.

Luckily there was a construction site about 75 feet away. so I grabbed my keys and jumped out of the passenger side and ran to those guys. The bastard had the audacity to come after me but was out numbered by the workers...... one of the city workers came up behind him and wrapped his arms around him and stated "calm down rocky" (because he was swinging at me) and they called the cops.

to make a long story short.... the guy was not a thinker.... he tried to car jack me at knife point in broad daylight, in rush hour traffic..... I bet his mom is so proud. The bastard did a year....... although I did get nervous when I found out that he was released..... My mom kept saying stuff like..."He may know where we live" and "Don't drive your MR2 around, he will notice it again and try to get revenge"

IDIOT

These jackers definitely put a lot on the line when they attempt to steal. My buddy carjacked an integra @ gunpoint, got caught and is finishing up a 7 year sentence in prison. People trip me out sometimes.

Their purses contain all of their identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone getting your home address, because - guess what - they already HAVE your keys!
Your Registration has all that info (HOME ADDRESS) on it too...... So if you keep it in your glove box.... Which most people do your SOL anyways.

Name the movie:

"Just let me remove my car keys from my house keys, then BOOM, out comes the brightest light you have ever seen!"

(or something to that effect...)

That's why I am worried. I got my car back from Honda World Body Shop and the reg was missing....but they subbed out to a place to remove/reinstall the roof, so who knows who took it???

In NYC I was always told, DON'T leave the reg in the glove compartment.....in CA it is: LEAVE it in there.

Just stupid, IMO....
