There are no "springs" in the clutch assembly. The pressure plate has a round series of metal spokes that act as a spring for the center throwout bearing and these spokes are what press the friction plate into the flywheel giving you the "grab" or lack of grab..."slip" that you are experiencing.
i was waiting for someone to say something. you cant go to a local spring guy and have him make u a 'spring' for your clutch.

the springy 'fingers' is what determines petal pressure and clamping force in a clutch assembly.
