RWD?

iono

anyway, what's done is done. I don't recall how well the nut is welded onto the frame, but maybe you can grind the nut off and just use a nut/bolt combo as a long term fix.

sigh, yes, I hope the extended bolt and the lock nut will be good enough to hold the A ARM.

Thanks for the clarification. Once again Reading > ME......

this seems more a short term fix...

what i suggested was more of a long term fix. Currently you are using the lock nut on top of the stripped nut right? I'm suggesting to remove the old nut (if possible, by grinding the welds, or some other method) and using only 1 nut and 1 bolt (ie. like OEM, just the nut won't be welded anymore).

The grinding off of the old nut will required a shop?? or this is something that I can do myself?

I am not sure if the thin plate where the nut is welded will be weaken or broken. Then I will be truly FU@KED!!

It's a 50/50 weighted car and it's RWD, the rear is under WAY more stress.

In any case, did this get solved?

Hey Greg,

I temperamentally used an extended bolt from Honda and a Nylon Locking Nut.

Until I can get the car to get the welded nut cut off.

I hope this will hold.

if anyone really cared about that clarification, then i'm sorry they are that guy too.

for the sake of helping the OP, the point was construed fine i think, not to mention the images of the manual the i posted should cast out any doubt on the subject.
