$30000 Max!!
We only have upto $30k to spend and we are looking for a fun car for my girlfriend. Since I have a S2k we want another brand. I was thinking Cobra, Evo or 350Z. Cobra is cool and supercharged(like my S), Evo has good reviews(she says"it looks like a regular sedan") She is not the fan of the rear spoiler either. and finally everyone talks s*#t about the 350Z on this forum. To me it doesn't make difference. I'm getting another toy
. Cobra I can get it for invoice since i work for Galpin. Evo I heard they start dealing from sticker. 350Z haven't done any research on it. What do you guys suggest? I am open to other cars too. not another S though. Thanks.

Rx8, 350z or Evo. All great cars. They are all in different category. All depends on what you are looking for. Here's what I think of these cars
Evo - Speed. Drag or Track. Performance choice number 1. Aftermarket = Very friendly.
350z - Street Sports car. Great looking curves and you can put huge wheels on them with big Lip and fat tires. Aftermarket = friendly
Rx8 - 4 seats and 4 doors. very practical and great interior or great exterior design. The jury is still out on the Renesis motor. Aftermarket = Not much YET.

Depends on what kind of toy you want. The Cobra is a dragster, the Evo a go cart, and the Z is a jack of all trades (master of none). Want to luxury definitely throw the G35 Coupe in there, although those can get pricey for the nice one.
Between the 350z, EVO, and Cobra:
The 350z will be the head turner of the group. It has decent power but is not very mod friendly (when compared to the EVO or Cobra). It's also not very fast. It's quick but there are a lot of cars that are faster. It's also not very practical with only 2 seats and limited storage.
The EVO has the best all around performance. It's not as fast as the Cobra in a straight line but will definately beat the Cobra on a track with turns. It's also the most practical of the bunch with room for 4 and a usable trunk. It also takes to mods very well and is easy to get to 350 whp. Anything more and you're looking at big investments (stroker kit, bigger turbo...). Don't fool yourself into thinking that this car will beat Z06's in the 1/4 mile. It's not a 1/4 mile car...it can be good at the 1/4 but will never have the potential of the Cobra or a big V8.
The Cobra is a monster. It will be hard to find another car that can touch it's straight line performance. It also takes to mods really well and is faily easy to get to 450-500 whp.
Personally I would and did choose the EVO. With the AWD you can take a Cobra from 0-80 and with a few mods can easily extend that further. The AWD also helps put the power down regardless of weather without smoking the tires. And it has plenty of room when you need it. It does have some faults: the gauge cluster is really cheap and the interior is lacking some of the toys in the 350z. But it offers an amazing driving experience with some of the best driver feedback of any car available at this price point.

It seems like 350Z was getting the flames when it was compared to S, but as a second car people seem to not mind it. She likes the looks of the 350Z. I mean anything bad about 350Z other than being not the drag or track master?
(that greddy turbo kit is badass!!)
