Default '05 S

I am looking to buy an '05 S within the next month (was going to be this month until some freak backed into my car). Anyways, I really love the car but I don't want to be disappointed because my expectations are met. My goal is to have an S that can run 10s while still being a daily driver. Is this unrealistic? I already have my sights set on a turbo kit--Full-Race Stage 3. I figure that kit with built internals and slicks is good for 10s. Am I on glue? The kit will easily make 650whp (with built internals).

Before I go and buy this car, please provide me with whatever feedback you might have.

The S2000 is a great car, but running 10's in one will be difficult while remaining streetable. If you're looking for a street car with a lot of drag potential go for an EVO. If you're dead-set on an S2k though, go for it!

I hear ya. An EVO would make my goals easier...but that car is FUGLY, not to mention the reliablity sucks. I'd rather have a great looking car, like the S, that also is very reliable and the total ownership cost is far lower than an EVO.

I currently have a Civic with a K20A2 in it. Prior to deciding to get an S, my plan was to get the Full-Race Stage 3 turbo kit, which is good for up to 650whp (with built internals). Now that my wife is getting my Civic, and I am gettting an S, the Full-Race kit is still the way to go. The kit is without a doubt top-notch.

If you think a boosted 650hp S will be more reliable than a modded EVO you'll have quite a few surprises coming your way Stock for stock you are correct though.
