I guess what I am struggling to comprehend is how turbo RSX-S' with 15-20 psi and slicks consistenly run 11.5-12.0 and S2Ks aren't running 10s with similar setups. Doesn't RWD (vs. FWD) give an advantage on the strip?

Doesn't seem like the F-series engine is much better than the K-series.

It could run 10's, but you're also asking it to be fully streetable, reliable and excellent at autox at the same time. Btw, F-series engine is not better than K-series, just different.

... but I am not a fan of American cars.....
Don't be too narrowminded, their are a vast majority of differentiating American cars. Their are many great cars out there, and quite a bit of variety between them all. From an SRT4, to a Z06, SVT Cobra, SVT Focus, Cobalt SS, SRT8(<- believe it or not it is QUITE the track car), GTO, Grand National, (and other cars we don't get such as the Falcon and Cosworth RS) to name some. Plus, with all the platform sharing, cousin companies, part sharing due to stock ownage and mutaul benificiary deals, to say one doesn't like cars because it is "American" doesn't mean much anymore and is quite obligitory IMO.
