Default '06 s2000 vs. '03 3.2TL

My friend has his moms TL and claims he can beat my S! I told him i beg to differ, and he immediately said lets race! Which i have no problem w/... however, we never got to it. Then i started to think about it and he was saying that his car has same hp as the typeS! And that the only thing different is the suspension... i told him Negative. I believe his car has 225hp , but has more torque than S, but also weighs about 3250 pounds i think. I just don't know how quick his car is 0-60, that would say alot, but im just curious what u guys think...
Im gonna race him next time i see him, which should be within 2 days... let u guys know outcome.

If you lose to a non-Type S, TL you should go trade your S2000 in on a Civic.

you're going to destory his TL, which does have 225 hp. I have a CL Type-S which is 260 hp, and my S2k is a lot faster. The Type-S versions of the TL and CL clock 0-60 in 6.2-6.5, and quarter mile just under 15s.. so your friends non type-s is going to be significantly slower.

this race may be dependant on the S' driver's willingness to launch the car in the true "drag" style...
i, for one, do not hammer the S from nil, because the rear end is really weak; i used to launch my old accord without a worry, since it was a POS and was somewhat bulletproof
the auto TL is easier to launch (no skill required) (push and it goes)... so i dont know...
