I think it's highly possible because first of all, Edmunds seems like a reliable source, and secondly, Toyota is looking to spice up its entire line-up. Being such a giant that it is, Toyota will have no troubles producing sports cars, and I strongly believe they will. I just hope the prices will be affordable for me too.

I've seen Toyota/Lexus is looking at a Mid(rear) engine supercar (not a Supra replacement) in the $100K range like a modern day NSX.

The Supra is supposed to be in the $30-45K range kind of in between the 350Z and the Vette.

my fam has always been a toyota fam ('78 celica, '81 corolla, '88 van, '93 land cruiser, '99 rav4, '00 celica, '01 IS300), so ive been waiting for the new supra for a while. by the time it comes out, my S will probably have 100K on it, and will be time for a replacement... :-)

Blaaaa... it says it will have 300hp.... whopeeeee... just like the 350Z... so they can both do a 14.0 Qtr mile at 100mph just like the now 5.5 year old S2000 does.

I think we need something that can run 12's and be light and handle great.....

after getting used to fast cars, it is hard to think a 14.0 Qtr mile is fast.

I'll buy it if they make it. Supra roadster priced at $30-40k, can't beat that. Get the V-8 if you want it faster, or you can always add boost.

i agree, but how do you think the model that might have the 4.3 V8 will perform?
