Not me... hopefully next weekend will be my big day.

The car sounds fairly promising for a drag race....not sure why the trap speed sucks so much....could be due to the car weighing so freaking much.

Since the trap speeds are similar to those of a stock S2000, would that mean that it would be a close race from a roll? Do you think an S2000 would be able to take one at higher speeds?

seems logical to me
being that the S2000 is wack off the line, i would guess that a rolling start would make it equal. BUT!!!
Since the EVO is turbo, wouldnt it pick up faster also from a rolling start? Unless the S2000 is cruising at like 7000RPM

I pretty much came up with the same conclusion..... 0-110mph is probably about dead even for both cars.....

If you think about it...two cars, one with a better E.T., but both with an identical trap speed...the slower E.T. car SHOULD win from a roll.

Pretend Car A runs 13.5 @ 100, and Car B runs 14.2 @ 100...Car B is covering more ground faster and accelerating harder than Car A as the speed increases. What Car B lacks in the launch, it more than makes up for it afterwards to get the same trap speed as Car A. If both cars were to race from a 40-roll, Car B would pull away. If they were to race from a 70-roll, Car B would pull away even harder.

WOW! Never thought about it like that! Could stock S2000's possibly be edging out EVO's from a roll! We really need someone to set this race up!

I am attempting this type of race, but there is no one in my area who has an S2000 who wants to do this.

There is a video of the EVO VIII losing to a RSX type S with bolt-ons. I assumed it is b/c 1. less drivetrain loss (esp. comparing all wheel drive vs front wheel drive) 2. lighter weight 3. more time in the gears with the taller gearing and higher redline (the 3-4 gears in the EVO are rediculously short, presumably for better for the track but no so wonderful when dragging). Note the RSX had Hondata, Intake and Exhaust (I think) which would put at car around 195-205 hp at the wheels.
