I assumed a S2000 would run away from an Evo, but I did hand time my own Evo and had previously handtimed my S2000.... i think due to gearing the S2000 is slightly the loser in that specific race.... although it would appear the cars should be damn close!

I think its very likely for an S2000 to beat an Evo from a roll. There is a great video at Club RSX of a Hondata RSX Type S vs. an EVO and they do quite a few runs from a roll and the RSX won everytime.

An RSX Type S w/ Hondata I/H/E is just as fast as an S2000, so there you go.

That may actually be faster than an s2k. Don't they put like 220whp down with that setup?
With 220whp and 200lbs less weight I'd think that's faster than a stock s2k.
Even if they put 200whp they should be a bit faster due to weight.

I think the numbers are like this
S2k
2800lbs
~200whp

RSX S Modded
2600lbs
~200-220whp

On top of that I think the RSX must have a better CD than the s2k, our winshield is steep (protects my head so I don't mind).
Once we get a programmable ECU the S2k should see the same % gains the RSXS does.

I'd guess a stock S2K would have the same view of the RSX that the EVO did.

Gearing is also a big part of the equation. No way to tell until someone sets up a race. But my biased opinion is for the s2k on a roll.

AWD is a huge advantage off the line with cars that have relatively low HP. Once the HP gets real high cars rock so hard back on the rear tires AWD makes not difference. IT is obvious the car is jumping off the line, but runs out of breath towards the end of the race. I have seen stock wrx's pull 13.8's at like 96 mph....same thing...just a step lower in HP.

As far as a roll goes...it's pretty easy to guess.
From what to what? 40-120? HP and Cd are going to win the race. I'm sure both cars are geared pretty tight. The S may have 6 gears, but that means you gotta shift one more time too probably.
