If you are in the US, the MY00-03 vs. MY04 topic has been discussed to death. I recommend doing a search and reading the FAQs.

2.0L they're cheaper and have the highest specific output for a production car *

* normally aspirated, piston engine, sold in the US

I guess 02-03 are the best of the 2.0L because of the rear glass etc...

Silverstone is the best color

Part of the choice will be decided on whether you want a new car or not. If you want new, then you have to go with the 2.2. Used opens up all the options.

When I bought my 2.2 I had the opportunity to get either car new as the 04's were ust starting to trickle in. I really thought I wanted the 2.0 and the 9k redline. After getting to drive both back to back, there really was no comparison. For me, the 2.2 was the only way to go.
