Good. One less fan-boy making us all look clueless.
We are not done Steven Cole...

I've read your posts. And you are a hopeless hole. You have a habit of "setting people straight." What the are you doing on here?? Go get in your 996 and leave the little POS hondas alone. Thats what I would do. But thats not enough for you... or your ego. Your self richeousness and holier than thou attitude has undoubtly lead to social frustration and a degradating sence of judgement. Here is just a couple of examples of your immature name calling you seem so keen on.
Allow me to quote:
"It is a common rice boy misconception that the Camaro does not handle well...."

hmm.. riceboy huh,
then theres:
"Seriously, stop while you only look this stupid...."
yeah.. who are you to judge??

How can a person go from owning motorcycles and dirt bikes, a BMW Z coupe, a Porsche 996TT then pick up an 01 Honda which judging by your comments is just one of the cheapest POS on the road and then spend large amounts of time hanging around the Honda forums?

Enlighten me please.

oh BTW, you are not God, or anything close. Lighten up... for your sake.

I've owned my S2000 since 01. Had an ITR for a year there along side it. Sit down, shut up and you might learn something here instead of making us all look like rice boys.

I for one wish we had more Steve C's on this forum. We'd have less idiots like you and more people to set them straight.

Let's see here.

275whp @ 3,600 lbs.

or

310whp @ 3,400 lbs.

Do you really think gearing will make up that margin?
Yeah, actually, in the low end I do think it will make up for it. Plus the Mustang's power curve may be a lot better than the fbody, I'm not saying it is. I'm just saying not to say something isn't possible without knowing all the facts that's all.

Yes, I have read his post. I've read many of his posts. I've been here about 1075 days, you've been here 86. I don't think you'll find anyone on this forum that thinks Steve is nice and kind, but he's not a sh** talker. He corrects ignorant and asinine statements like the ones you've made in this thread with the intended effect of making the poster look like an utter retard. Mission accomplished I'd say. I'll think you'll find that most of the people around here appreciate different types of cars and the different methods they employ to create a common goal...speed. So Motortrend says the Mustang hits 60 in 5.1. More power to Ford! Competition only strenghtens the pack and it will force the other manufacturers to step up their game if they want to compete.

Now run along, I think Scully is in trouble.

The more you open your mouth, the more you seem like a douche bag.

Just shut up. Steve is one of the more respected individuals on this board. The road ahead of you is not lookin' too good as of now.

I don't recall Steve ever knocking the S2000...he's one of the few here who seems able to appreciate a car for what it brings to the table. Some cars does lots of thins well (ie. M3, 996TT, etc.) and some cars cars does certain things very well and aren't quite as well rounded (ie. 03+ Cobra, S2000 etc.). Some times it's hard to sift through the all the BS on this forum but you don't ever have to look for the truth in Steve's comments...it will slap you right in the face.

2005 Mustang curb weight with a manual is ~3430, just about the same as an LS1 Camaro. The fox body Mustang is typically easier to launch than the stiffer sprung and lower Camaro; I would expect this to continue for the new generation. I expect the best 2005 GT times to be within a couple tenths of the best LS1 Camaro times, with the Camaro trapping at a proportionally higher MPH.
