dont think the 328i has this problem, but doesnt that 335i and the 135i have constant fuel pump issues that havent been fixed yet by BMW? All BMW did was extended the warranty on the fuel pump, but havent really FIXED it yet.

We have an 07 328XI sedan, it's been fine, except the stupid ran flat tires are crap. BMW finally replaced them a few months back so it's at least livable again.

We've got around 22k on it, free maintenance has been nice, but I don't foresee another bimmer in our driveway again for a long time.

I have a 2007 328i Sedan with around 30K miles on it.

There is a lot to like about the car. The engine is very smooth and the ride is terrific. I love the steering feel and just about everything concerning the driving experience. I average about 20 city and 30 hwy.

That being said, the car suffers from the typical BMW problems. The run flats are really loud and the ride can seem harsh to some. I also have taken quite a few trips to the dealer for service for electrical glitches. I get all sorts of warning lights that are always wrong, and they had to replace the power steering system at 4k miles when the pump exploded.

It's a great car, but get the extended warranty, I would not own this car without one.

My father has the 335 sedan 6mt. It was in the shop a lot with turbo issues, cam shaft problems, and something with the fuel pump. They finally got it right, he loves the car now.

He wouldn't recommend buying it though with out warranty.

Now don't get discouraged, its the internet...you're more than likely to hear negative things when you ask for feedback. I'd recommend you check some bimmer forums for a variety of answers.

good luck

I'm fairly certain the problem with the early 335's was the oil cooler? PM David1...he's the know all about Bimmer's these days.

Bought a brand new E46 325i back in 2002. Kept it for four years (just a tad under 50k miles) and had no problems (the N52(?) engine is SOLID).

Picked up a brand new E92 328i last June. No problems in 9 months; but yes, the RE050 runflats suck donkey balls when it comes to ride comfort.

And just for piece of mind, an extended warranty is a must when buying a one that has an expired factory warranty.

I love hearing people talk out of their ass. Can't speak for the coupe but 07 335i sedan with almost 40K on the clock and it's been pushing 400RWHP most of the time and zero issues...hasn't been to the dealer once for anything besides an oil change. My E46 M3 had almost 100K on the clock when I sold it and no issues outside of the infamous window trim issue that plagues many of the hotter climate based E46's. I know many 335 owners thru BMWCCA events etc and oddly enough not one of them has had the infamous hpfp failure. I think this issue has been greatly exaggerated due to internet goons...
