The new TT is a wonderful car. My ex had a 2007 3.2 manual cabrio, and I've got to say, I enjoyed driving it quite a bit. We both agree'd that we wished the MT was available with the 2.0T engine when we purchased (for mod reasons), but the 3.2 engine was strong and smooth none the less. I don't think there's a stigma attached to the new TT of being a chick car. Even the old model, set up and modded the right way, looked really tough. Good luck with your purchase!

Does this somehow detract from how much fun it is to drive the S2000? I'm fairly sure the only downside to it going for 8 years without a major redesign is its standing compared to its competition and attracting new buyers. Which, as I stated, does nothing to the actual driving experience.

Now, if one relates the driving experience to how many other cars they can blow the doors off of, or needs a more "modern" amount of horsepower (300+?) to serve as a shield from having their ego bruised, I can understand that person's point of view.

But even now, I see the position of the S2000 vs. things like the Boxster S/Cayman S or Z4M as the position these more expensive cars should have been in 8 years ago when the car came out. In 2000, the S2000 was "anything you can do I can do better/cheaper." I think that the more expensive cars are finally at the point to justify the $$$ over the S2000.

The first gen TT was one of the best looking cars on the road when it came out. It was left unchanged for too long and got old. The new version again is one of the best looking cars on the road.

That said, I would never buy one. They just cost way too much. At nearly 50k, there are way better choices.

I almost got one in 01 when I got my s. I thought it was cool especially the interior. It wasnt worth the expense to me. Turns out they had tons of quality issues. My s, well pretty typical Honda.

Saw the new TT coupe in white right beside the R8 in white, at the auto show. I have to admit it looks VERY good. The first generation TT was good looking in a rolling style sort of way (I know that's not an original thought) but this one is good looking in an actual car sense.

I think they're also supposed to be better performers than the lackadaisical first gen, but I haven't driven one.
