Wow, with side-by-side pictures, the new interior is vastly better! The layout and materials are worlds apart.

^^lol! Why not look at the 09' instead? Material to me is about the same, but the layout/design is what make it look so much better imo.

I like the design of the older CTS' wheel, but the dash was just plain WTF??? The center stack just bulged out like a mini-fridge or something. The first time I drove one when I worked for GM way back when, the thing really bugged me.

The standard CTS interior for '09 looks better than the CTS-V's; the shiny, polished black is what makes it look too busy. The brushed aluminum/wood look of the standard one is better to me, though I still don't like the design itself as much as some of its competition.

^^^Get light color interior. I noticed most of your previous post were with light color interiors. Darker color make interior look smaller and more busy.

have driven the 5 series and the regular ct-s.

-CTS interior still sucks
-engine sucks
-styling is nice, but again, everything else sucks

the 5-series is much more car. given the above, i'd never buy the cts-v over say an M5 or amg E63.

american cars still are ranked a distant third next to the euro/asian oems.

I've driven/sat in both 08 M5 and 09 CTS-V and you're wrong on so many counts. Go to the Caddy forums and there are many previous M5 owners that will disagree with you on the interior as well.

Engine sucks? That's why every mag and tester in the World disagrees with you?

The 5 series is much more car? In what sense? That you spend $20k more to get a BMW badge? That' can't beat the CTS-V in any performance evaluation?

Personally, there is nothing wrong with spending more for a badge. Just don't deny it and think your is better because you spend more.
