2010 GT3 or 2010 Corvette ZR1

no viper ACR? R8?
I just dont think i would spend 110k+ on a car virtually indistinguishable from the base model.
i like 911s, but everyone has them, noone can tell the difference in level, and they are more expensive to maintain, insure, upgrade.
ZR1 is a C6 that i could never even dream of taking advantage of the HP difference from Base C6.
I dont usually take a second look at either when i see them on the streets.
for that money, i would like to be gawked at when i take her out.
For free.... ZR1. cheaper for me to actually afford in my current life.

GT3. The ZR1 looks like the dime-a-dozen C6's to the general population.
I don't think the 911 or C6 offer much in the way of exclusivity.

I've tried and tried to love corvettes and I just haven't been able to do it. GT3 for me. ACR > R8 > GT3 > ZR1 for me. But, now that I look at my little equation ....it doesn't look right. I think it's more like this:
ACR > (R8 or GT3 or ZR1)
I like the three on the right all about the same, but for much different reasons.
I would love owning any of them though...you can't really go wrong, IMO.

That's kind of a poor argument though don't you think? The GT3 has the same issue: it looks like a a 911 with a giant wing and different wheels. I know there's a dozen or more smaller cosmetic tweaks, but the ZR1 looks 10 feet wider than a base C6 (and it has 20" wheels, different hood, spoiler, lip, rockers, brakes, hood and front fenders).

Where they are similar is that they're higher versions of pretty phenomenal cars.

Another vote for the GT3. Not sure why they ditched the dry sump feature but doesn't concern me as much coming from Porsche versus Chevy. Plus this model has stability control so that makes it all the better for me. The new wheels are the bomb and the adjustable engine mounts sound pretty sweet too. I like everything about it more than the zr1, except it lacks boost, a minor set back IMO.
I can't get into the C6 either; the seats are too wide, the steering wheel says econobox, and every thing seems to start off as a cost cutting feature. I remember when the c6 z06 was launched how many roofs fell off or reading reports of oil starvation on race tires despite having a dry sump engine, of course the dry sump feature has been revised, still both unnerving. the zr1's launch control feature seems lacking too, as from what I've observed an average driver can launch faster w/o it since it doesn't modulate the clutch. If possible, I'd go with a "starter" Vette like a base to see if I could warm up to the layout, ownership experience, community, track performance, etc.
