Pretty sure that the Lego model was supposed to be a replica of the M2. It seems they reversed the design process this time.
No idea why they had to square off the hood and front gills. I'd be fine with the boxy air dams in the bumper, assuming they're functional and were integrated smoothly into a nice design. The boxy gills look like crap though. Shame, the M2 is the only modern BMW I actually am inclined to like.
The same people who said the beaver teeth doesn't look good are the same people now paying over 20k for a clapped out zenki s14 240sx. I don't see how this turned out to be the final draft and imo the beaver teeth would've looked good on this car.
Last one looked far better and still does to this thing. Front end is
What’s even worse is the screens. Is this a drivers car or the Starship Enterprise? The first video I saw on it the guy is like “what’s wrong with some analog type gauges”, you know like the last M2C? They needn’t be straight analog needles….just like the last M2C, a screen that shows analog type gauges….. holy shit those screens are awful. Like the Golf R they just lost their got damn minds. Why is everyone so fascinated with this screen bullshit in a vehicle?
That front end is brutal. It looks like a cheap Ebay body kit. The side profile looks good, in my opinion, but the overall styling seems very "aftermarket" (ie, neither tasteful nor cohesive). As others have said, the current generation looks so much better.
I don't understand why BMW has to be so divisive with their G designs. While the G87 isn't nearly as ugly as the G8* series M3/M4, it isn't immediately an attractive car. And what's funny is the red actually makes this design look better; the original leaked photos were in the Zandrvoort Blue and it was hideous. Also, look at this M2 with M performance kit they're selling. I thought this was a Civic Type R for a second.
