30hp/65tq gain for only $550
Some of you may know, but I own a Solstice GXP [the turbo model]. I just had the GM Performance Parts turbo upgrade tune installed on my car, just one of many. To gain 30hp/65ft torque, retain the factory warranty, and only cost $550 for parts/tune [including $160 for install labor] is a deal. So now the car has 290hp/325tq over the stock 260/260.
My next mods are going to be a cat-back exhaust with a high-flow cat and a larger intercooler.

I think its an amazing upgrade and cool that its factory supported, but why did GM leave all that power to be released in the first place is my question. At leas you can easily get it.

Awesome stuff, I was researching those tunes and seems liek the wester tune is better, but factory support is priceless. Awesome stuff man!

Parts included: 2 new t-map sensors and 2 new connectors, then you get the tune itself from the dealer.
Wester's tune does make a little bit more horsepower, but it uses the factory tmap sensors. The GM tune includes new tmap sensors that allow for more tuning capabilities [they read higher parameters]. However, Wester is coming out with a tune for GM tune owners soon. The new sensors will be crucial for tuning when I do that turbo upgrade down the road
A few tuners on the HHR forum [the HHR SS uses the same motor as the Solstice and Cobalt] have tweaked the GM tune and made around 330hp on the stock turbo at the flywheel.
I haven't driven an S2000, so I can't compare the two. But I think the stock suspension on the GXP is a great set-up [double a-arms front and rear with coil-over shocks and swaybars, and the GXP suspension is stiffer then the base Solstice suspension, and the optional Z0K suspension is even stiffer]. I do plan on getting a backbone brace from a vendor called DDM. The car comes with a flimsy stamp steel piece of metal that connects the driveshaft tunnel together. The DDM piece is much beefier, and lots of people have mentioned how much stiffer and planted the car feels with the better brace. I'm also thinking of getting the HKS Hipermax III coil-overs, but that's a bit down the road due to price.
I'll post dyno sheets of other people's cars when I can find them.
