Because its Tuesday, which car would you rather have?
As top-line models with all packages, they are both $32k, (although you can bump the TSX up to $40k with options!)

Sure Acura has ruined the TSX, but in this case I think Holden/Pontiac has done a great job with the G8. For this to even be a thought the Acura needs 100 more horsepower, a limited slip, rear wheel drive and a wrapper that looks a hell of a lot better than what they are trying to sell now. The G8 performs, looks good, has room for people and their stuff, and is probably the best performance sedan bargain out there. The only advantage the TSX has is the manual gear box, but GM is working on that.
Is there anybody left working in the styling department at Honda/Acura?

I haven't voted. The problem is I'm not sure. The fuel economy advantage enjoyed by the Acura is very compelling to a cheap guy like me. Also, I recently sat in a G8. The interior is good but I suspect the Acura might be a bit nicer (haven't sat in one).
Now I haven't driven either so I can not say with authority. However, I strongly suspect that without considering the gas mileage I would prefer the G8 (how can you not love a V8?). It also helps that excluding the vents on the hood (which I really don't like), the rest of the car looks great and Acura really screwed up the TSX.
So, G8 but with big reservations. Mind you if the TSX looked good I very well might have changed my opinion.

Does the world really need another gas guzzler? I like the G8, but it would be a nicer car if it weighed about 700 pounds less and had a choice of V-6's in two separate sets of tune.

G8 this time around, although the TSX would be a slightly more practical car.. Hard to say, if you really wanted performance I dont know if I'd want a 4000lb car..(though I'm biased, if I wanted simple GT v8 rumbly sound I'd be hard pressed to pass up a mustang GT).
I really wish Honda/Acura would give us a higher end Rear drive sport gt coupe/sedan to really stick it to BMW and Lexus.
