You feel the weight of the car while driving it. Forget about the earlier model Genesis Coupes (they had a horrible lag in the RPMs while shifting). It's a good buy if you want a decently quick car (V6), more space compared to the S2000 and a 10year/100,000mile warranty. For the money I would rather get a slightly used 370Z. Sure you lose the back seat, but you have a better all around vehicle. It's closer to the S2000 in terms of feel, but still has a nice GT feeling to it as well. Need the extra seating? Check out slightly used G37's, or even G35's. The Infiniti's also make GREAT GT cars and come as a better package compared to the Gen Coupe. If you are looking for something close to the S2000 in terms of how nimble it is then look at the FRS/BRZ. The second I even just sat in one I felt as though it was a great comparison to the S2000 (with the benefit of a fixed roof).
G37S is 3,800 pounds. Enough said.

Brother, If you have to ask whether to get rid of your S then, IMO, you never fell in love with it !

Fully aware. My point was that if you are going for a relatively numb feeling GT type car then the G37S is a great car to look at. It's not 'fast' by any means, but it does get up and go. The interior is great and its comfortable. I was merely offering it as an alternative to the Gen. Coupe.

Thanks for all the input and opinions. I test drove the hyundai and gotta say I wasn't really all impressed. The interior of the car felt like if I was in a mid 2000's camry. I'm deff keeping my S! Idk what got into me or what I was thinking. The hyundai felt like I was driving a tank. haha. But really do prefer my S over the hyundai. Even the saleman I dealt with was " you want to trade in you s2k for a hyundai" all in all he was cool but basically even he thought I was crazy. I wanna say sorry to the S2K gods for doubting them and turning my back slightly to the S2K lol. But deff I was way wrong about the Genesis. I know im gonna keep my S forever now!

Please don't get a Hyundai & don't compare the S2k to 1 either.

Cars you could consider if your really looking at new cars.
FRS/BRZ
370Z/G37
Mini Cooper
Fiat 500
EVO
STI
Caymen
Mustang
Camaro
Just some ideas. I would take any of these over a Genesis.

Now you know to use the S as your benchmark on the defintion of "Fun" when testdriving other cars .I drove the V6 Gen coupe and the only thing that I really liked was the sound of the motor but the shifter and clutch action sucked! After "S" ownership I find I tend to not connect with other cars in the same way . The only ones I have found that I like as well or better are the 997,NSX,Mini Cooper S because the Mini would make a great daily driver with a combo of fun, quick, practical, and great gas mileage! Of course the Mini is not as great as the S but the controls have the same kind of hyper quickness and with the turbo you only have to use mid grade gas.
