Anyone own an NSX? Just looking for some insight

I had an 05 NSX for about 15 months....
it has reasonable torque and very reliable (i put about 12k miles on it)... awesome looks.... i ran a whooping 13.5 @ 106mph in the qtr mile. not much excitement in that.
Definately needs a big improvement in power to go with the looks....Mine was 100% stock and didn't make any impressive motor or exhaust sounds.

Rxmfn7. it's a daily drive exotic car. those parts wont last longer than a civic, but it's much better than a horse or bull.
stock vs. stock. it will not be significantly faster than your RX7. you are buying an image. your RX7 will be faster than NSX if you drop some money on it. i am not saying that NSX is a slow ass. it can be fast, but it needs lot of money to make.
in the first few months, you may feel it's so much fun to drive. after that, it's not going to make you exciting anymore. this is basically what i am feeling now. people think it's so hot because they dont see it very often. i have almost owned it 1 year. now i dont feel it's special anymore.
save your money, buy a brand new car.

For the version I want, I'd get a brand new Cayman.
Well, I did get a Cayman. NSX's are great looking cars, but overpriced, out-dated, and most are out of warranty. Cayman S performs better, and is more practical.

Weight is about the same for the NSX and the Caymen S ~2950lbs
HP is close 290 and 295 respectively
TQ goes to Caymen at 224 and 251 respectively
Is handling better for the NSX or the Caymen?
0-60 is close as well with the edge going to the Caymen at 5.1 and 5.2 for the NSX
Of course all of this is just magazine crap. For those that are in the know and have driven both cars, which is really the better performer stock for stock?

Well, I've owned all 3. The NSX is def. the best "all rounder"...but there was a mystique to the FD that was not matched in the NSX. The FD was awesome, awesome, awesome...but also a major pain in the ass. I view the FD as the mistress, and the NSX as the reliable and loyal wife..not quite as exciting or as sexy, but always dependable and not bad looking either. My 2 cents.
