Registering one in California would be a challenge. You would still have to fight for the 600 registration lottery (or whatever the number is now) for special constructed cars. I tried to go through that for a Caterham a while back but bailed out. I think they gave out the entire year allocation on the first day that year. I can still dream though
Its SB100 and thre are only 500 numbers give out each year, but since they need to bring cars into the system that were legally registed in the 70-80's the real number is ~400. Plus there are the Rod builders like coddington who need numbers. Its a absolutly insane system. I have gone through it once I know what to do but it still does not make sense from a pratical standpoint.

I would like to find a pontek sportech at some point but they are so rare that I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I have a cut down street/race kit car on Ebay right now that I was trying to build into something like the atom with a ej20T but after my cobra i realize that I can make as much power as I want but I will never be able to get it to the ground effectivly or go around a corner with any grace with a half a@# suspension setup.

So its this or I cut down a S2000 by about 1000 lbs and add a blower, build a super 7 with at least 250hp or go out and buy another 600hp cobra and just throw a bunch of money into the pot of slicks every 3-4 session.

I just want it gone, I could care less what I get for it, its taking up a bay in the garage that could be filled with somthing that

A. runs and is registered.

well thats it really. I have it running and driving just fine but with the crazy people on the road I would rather have drive the prowler and my truck because they are much much safer. This thing is a motorcycle with 4 wheels, at least my cobra had a cage.

Who knows what I am going to replace it with, I have had a itch for something for Italy again. I missed out on buying a nice 330GT 2+2 about a month and a half ago and I still would like to find one.
