Auto reliabilty question...
In Subaru's new ad campaign, its promoting the claim that 95% of Subarus are still on the road 10 years after production. Does anyone know what percentage of Hondas are on the road after ten years?
Thanks,
Thanks,
I have no idea what that number is actually based on, but I'm wondering if Honda makes claims like this. Maybe Subaru is claiming that 95% of cars not wrecked, stolen, etc are still running, but I know Hondas hold up forever under similar circumstances, so I got to thinking.
Since the 1999 S2000's are still in top shape and running better than before, I can only assume that the S2000 is aging perfectly and every one of them will be on the road for longer than the Sub's with a big

Not sure of the wording, but I think it's 95% of all the subarus sold in the last 10 years. May be 98% of the cars sold in the last 4-5 years and may be 80% of the cars that are 8+ years old. But could work the numbers to come out to 95%.
I don't think it means 95% of the 10 year old Subarus are on the road.
