Bad compression?
Ok guys I know this doesn't relate to my s2000, but i was looking into a daily beater car. I found a crx with a b18c motor, jun cams, and all bolt-ons.
Problem is that the guy said that the compression is off on two cylinders. The car is at a great price, i'm guessing I would need to replace the piston rings. Is there anything else i should be worried about? Or is there something else that could be causing the low compression?
Thanks in advance for the help.

yea, low compression can be several things.
squirt some oil in there and rerun the test. if it gets better, the rings are shot. if it doesn't, it is probably the gasket or the valves. if it is 2 adjacent cylinders it is more than likely the gasket.
if the rings are shot, the engine probably is significantly worn and you really should do a full rebuild.

I agree with Steven. If the car is a offered at a great price, it might be a good value if you do a total engine rebuild. At any rate, if you know a good mechanic who can can run a leak-down test and do a thorough check of the engine's overall condition, I'd recommend that. I like the CRX especially the Si.
