i'm way late into this thread, but i agree with the Carrera GT sounding the best. amazing car.
i've never heard a Lambo Murci, but the Gallardo has a beautiful rumble too.

I used to really like the 8 cylinder Ferraris until last week. I was driving behind a woman ( ) in a Ferrari 612 for several miles on the way to work, and even at low RPM and low throttle it sounded very nice. I guess I should say it was howling and growling. Then she apparently had enough of sitting in traffic got the RPMs up and went hauling ass into the empty merge lane and cut everyone off. I've now determined indeed that 12 > 8...

Best sound a car has made to me: the first time I fired up my Talon, it was my very first set of wheels (sorry, this kinda spilled over from the thread about which car you would want back).
But aside from that... it really depends on my mood, sometimes you just want the rumble of a V8 and sometimes you want that composed fury of an exotic. I agree with all of teh cars on that list, but the STI... I mean it does sound nice for what it is, but it's more out of the respect for the car than aural pleasure.
