So will someone straighten out why one's motive(strictly status vs enthusiast) for purchasing a BMW is related to the company's rise in profits/increase in sales? It's not clear to me, nor does the BMW-bashing seem rational. I would reckon that a few of you have a chip on your shoulder.
It stemmed from some suggesting that BMW's rise in sales/profits correlated directly with superiority of product. Essentially, I was suggesting that that connection (while it may or may not exist) was irrelevent, as rise in sales/profit was more directly correlated with image/prestige of BMW.

I daily drive an E46 M3 and I think that it's the best bang for the buck you can get. It handles like a champ, the premium sound system is really nice, firm suspension but yet not hard enough to rattle out your teeth, decent amount of power. Just the way I like my car, Jack of all Trade, master of none. If you can find another car that does everything under 65k just as well or better than the M3 let me know.

Just so everyone knows I'm in NNJ and I did drive it through the sleet and snow today with no problems.
