And YOU'VE shown for the hundredth time that you don't know what we're arguing about.

WE AREN'T SAYING BMWS AREN'T BETTER.

I don't recall making that judgement either way.

I'm saying if you blindfolded the average BMW driver (and by average I'm not referring to M5, M coupe, etc, I'm talking bread-and-butter 325i, X5, 530i drivers) and stuck him in a 325i and than an Accord V6, he'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. I can tell the difference. You guys can tell the difference. But Joe BMW driver can't. Is that wrong? Should Joe BMW drive something else? Is Joe BMW wasting his money? No, not necessarily. Nothing wrong with buying a nice car if that's what you want to spend your money on. But I think a huge number of BMW buyers aren't trying to buy themselves a nice car, they are trying to buy the right image. Fine, whatever, they can do what they want. But if you are trying to convince yourself that every, or even most, or even a significant number of BMW drivers buy one because of the autobahn tuning or the fine quality drivetrain or the great steering, you are fooling yourself. Their reasons start and end with the blue and white round thing on the hood.
I don't care if you think the BMW is better. That's a known fact. What I do care about is that, according to you, 95% of BMW drivers don't know their ass from their elbows and bought the car because of a BMW badge... which is just flat out incorrect.

Didn't you guys hear that BMW stopped making cars 10 years ago. They've been putting BMW badges on Hyundais. 95% of the population hasn't figured this out yet.

You are very quick to quantify and "fact-ify" things that are unquantifiable and can't be proven.

Unless you classify "cheaper" and "lesser quality" as better than I don't see how I can be wrong...

And most BMW drivers don't ever plan on owning them longer than warranty anyway and oh yeah no one should own a car beyond warranty without a third-party warranty policy anyway.
Gosh that sounds like a great argument for owning a BMW long term.

If I spend 40-50k on a car I expect it wont break down at the end of the warranty period.

Lexus don't do that either do Acuras......I had a honda prelude for 13 years that ran great the whole time....Replaced the AC and tires. That was it.

You lost all credibilty at "BMW makes crap"

Oh and by the way, BMW standard warranty is 4 years, 50,000 miles. So either you don't know what the hell you are talking about or you are lying through your teeth about that ridiculous story of YOUR FRIENDS bmw.

Yes, BMW makes a car thats made to fall apart RIGHT WHEN THE WARRANTY EXPIRES. Do you believe the things you are typing? I don't even need to shoot you down, you do it well enough yourself.
How many have you owned? How many have you worked on?

Oh, Your warranty numbers ASSUMES you know the age of the car.

You do not.

It's funny how the BMW owners in here get so hot and defensive when someone questions the value of their rides.

They must still be stinging from the ass pillaging they experienced after getting bent over the mahogony table at the BMW dealership.
