Default Brake light comes on during acceleration?

For some reason, the brake light comes on during hard acceleration on my '99 Accord V6. It seems like when the engine is under heavy load such as going up a hill or accelerating from a stop the light comes on as if the e-brake is being pulled. Any ideas?

Thanks.

yeah it is the brakefluid. when you accelerate the wieght shifts to the rear wheels and the front of the vehicle lifts a little. when this happens the brake level dips and the sensor is then activated.

it will happen just the same if you take a sharp turn.

I'll fourth the fluid recommendation. I had the same thing happen to my Neon when I owned it. Topped off the fluid and everything was fine again.

Maybe the car is trying to tell you to stop "hard acceleration".....

Thanks all. I checked the fluid and it was pretty low, also pretty green. I'll be flushing the whole system and hopefully it'll take care of the light as well.

I knew a guy with a Del Sol back in high school whose reverse lights would come on when he pushed the gas. Anyone have idea how that could happen (he claims he didn't rig it that way on purpose)? A bit of a hijack I guess, but not worth starting another thread over. I'm just curious.
