Default E-Brake Light Problem?

Hey guys, lately I noticed that my e-brake light comes on even if the ebrake is not engaged. I would be driving and it would come on... then go off... then come back on. Or i would take a left turn and it would turn on then after the turn, the light turns back off

anyone have any idea on this issue?

Thanks!

Have you checked your brake fluid? I could be wrong, but the brake light might measure fluid in the master cylinder reservoir as well as the e-Brake being pulled.

Yea check the brake fluid, the same thing happened in my 240 and it ended up being low brake fluid.

It has nothing to do with beak fluid. There is a switch sort of sensor right under the handbrake (just take off the center console and have a look). I had the same problem and it went away on it's own while the car wasn't driven for 45 days.

Yeah it's on my accord too. I got used to seeing it there. The brake fluid is full. I'm just too lazy to fix the sensor.

When this began happening to my car I had to replace the front brake pads. Once you do this the brake fluid should go back to normal.

I would say check brake pads & fluid.
