I'd be perfectly fine paying that amount on insurance for those cars here in Michigan, I'm paying more than that for 5 cars. Mine aren't Porsches or ZR1's either. My 15 y/o S2000 is $154/month, over 45, no claims/tickets. I do have our 19 y/o daughter on our policy, but that change 3 years ago was only $40 a month upcharge to the overall cost.

Insurance discussions are always a bit pointless, every state is different.
