Even though auto sales are down for all auto makers, GM hasn't lost as many sales as other companys.

They were down less as a percentage for September but for the year, they're right there with Ford and Chrysler. Interestingly, the Buick Enclave was up 32% this month, probably the only large (or any) SUV that sold in significant numbers to see an upturn vs. September of last year.
For the year, GM is down 18.1%, Ford is down 17.6%, and Chrysler is down 25%. Honda/Acura are down 1.1% for the year (Honda brand is up 0.8%) and Toyota is down 10% thus far.
