Is car stalling bad for the car?

Default Is car stalling bad for the car?

I'm practicing stick shift and have stalled quite a few times;;
is that gonna damage the car?

No. If the car is warm and the oil is warm, you'll be wearing your starter motor more than usual, but not the engine.

here is a tip.

Sit in the driveway with the engine running and the car in nuetral.

push the clutch in...and put the car in first....then SLOWLY let the clutch out (as in so slow you think your going to get bored slow)...the car will begin to pull forward as the clutch begins to grab...once the car is going fast enough (ie 2-3 mph) you'll be able to release the clutch fully and off you go. (try and feel when its right time to let the clutch go)

Do this a few times to get the feel for when the clutch is going to grab.

pratice makes perfect.

Its essentially the same thing as turning the key off (as far as wear and tear go)
