Yes for the V6 and you know the V8 is the sportier engine so don't be retarded. I did say "ok" didn't I?

Now read this about the Tahoe.

A lot of people on these boards just do not understand how much a family like yours (2 kids and a dog) actually would get more capacity and better fuel economy from a minivan.
Anything you can put in your SUV, i can put in my minivan. I average 22 MPG mixed driving and when i bough it at 45k miles, I achieved 27 MPG from Raleigh to Fort Wayne and never stopped once to boot.
I have put 60 bags of mulch, 3/4 of a pallet of pavers, a complete dinette set, towed a large Uhaul trailer from FL to NC, I can also enclose a 10 ft board completely in my car.
I always laugh at SUV owners at Lowes when i can load up all my stuff in 5 minutes and shut my tailgate and they have to pack and repack just to get stuff to hang out all over the place.

If i did need to really haul something, i would rent a truck from Lowes for $20. problem solved.

Dave
Actually that can be said for any SUV or minivan that

I love the idea of the dealers taking a bath for once. What I mean is if they have to sell the SUVs for less than they paid LOL it's poetic justice.

I know they have to make some money so they will low-ball you on the trade-in. But sometimes it's sick like they will offer 1/2 the price it's worth and you know it.

So I really hope some dealerships take a loss on these things.

Plus, it's also funny that SUV owners are finding out what stupid mistakes these cars are. I mean especially in parts of the country that don't get snow. You are telling me they need SUVs in any warm climate? No

Also, funny don't know if that's the article or another where people want to trade in a SUV and would take a 50% loss just b/c gas has gone from $3 to $4 a gallon meaning it's just a few hundred bucks a year but they will trade-in because the media is making a big deal of the gas price. It proves beyond any doubt that these SUVs were not needed in the first place.

The worse thing for me is knowing that oil countries (OPEC) is getting more money. Other than that it's not so bad to think the US will start buying more efficent cars.

I know I'm like the pot calling the kettle black since we have a SUV but at least I will say it's a 7-passanger SUV which they don't make any fuel efficent 7-passanger cars. Unlike people who buy 2+2 SUVs like the X6 when a 5-series wagon is all around better and smarter car.

It's great to think some people will think of other things except cubic inches (ie. it's got a hemi etc.) when it comes to buying a car and maybe just maybe we will see some luxury offerings with smaller engines. I mean for example BMW won't sell a 4-cylinder in the US nor Lexus (etc.) when maybe just maybe a 4-cylinder will get the job done or maybe a I6 in a 7-series (etc.) not everyone needs 300+ hp for daily driving.

I still like the option if you want a bigger more powerful car but there is no option for a smaller less powerful upscale car.

I mean there is the Mini Cooper but not much else. I would like some other cars such as a 3-series with a 200-hp engine (for example) if it was lighter and more efficent than the I6. I mean surely in Europe they have I4s and smaller engine choices we don't have here in the super-size land.

I know the I4s don't work in the US (ie the TSX) but maybe that will change.

Also glad to see the end of PU-trucks (etc.) being used as DD cars. My Legacy wagon will get ~27 mpg average and it's going to be as useful 95% of the time as I see PU-trucks rarely are towing or hauling anything the Legacy can't.

I did what I could to talk a friend of mine out of buying a Chrysler 300 in January. He sent me a text and I blasted him and warned him that it was stupid. He decided it was more important to be a baller I advised him of the upcoming fuel price increases and it went in one ear and out the other.

What sucks, presently, is these big mammoth vehicles blocking almost every lane when I try to get someplace by highway travel. I can't count how many Escalades, Suburbans, etc, doing 50MPH on the highway. A two lane onramp that connects 2 highways has a posted limit of 50MPH and these fools will be doing 40MPH because they are trying to chinze their gas mileage to the fullest. Then they'll get in the fast lane so they don't have to worry about changing lanes, and set their cruise control at 55MPH. Dumbasses! You bought your earth mover when no one told you that you had to or that it was a good idea and the rest of us have put up with it
I love my country but I'd be lying if I said it didn't piss me off that those of us that can think have to bear other people's mistakes.

IMO, rapidly increasing fuel prices are due to a number of factors.....the ###### s on Wall Street are trying my patience currently, but another big factor is demand. Every time I get gas I see at least one of these ###### i n g things filling up to the tune of $100+ and my car doesn't even cost half that to fill up. No wonder America's demand is so damn high. SUV's aren't the main reason it's so high, but it is a factor. People are so dumb in this country that price gouging will be the only thing that makes them wake the ###### up. The chickens are coming home to roost.

One of the guys at work watched as the trade-in value of his Trailblazer SS dropped $4000 in two weeks time

Now he's upside down on anything he wants

I6 not V6. So 15/20 is ok MPG, will run out and buy 3. Can tell you up front almost no one is going to get close to 15/20. Turbo motor people are going to be knee deep in the power band most of the time. This is where you take your advice.

Once again how is the S that's seats only 2 and in my case get's 19 freeway mpg any better than my Toyota Tundra Crew Max with the 5.7 motor (that gets 16 mpg @ 75 mph)? My big turd seats 5, carries my sons and my surfboards or guns and ammo and dead animals when I take it hunting. And moves those little mini cars out of my way when I'm in a hurry.

All that is happening is the class system is being defined in America. Those who can step up to the plate and fill up their tanks are doing it and those who can't or won't can squeeze themselves into those puny little ecno boxes. Now living on the beach not sure how the average fat ass is going to fit in the puny cars. Reminds me of the mortgage mess those who shouldn't have bought houses are being exposed and those who really couldn't afford the gas guzzlers are being weeded out. Just because you bought or most likely leased (most did not lease for business reasons only the cheaper payment) when they could afford to fill the tank was in no way a guarantee that that would continue.

Has to suck to go from a roomy car to one of those gutless match boxes just to get 30 mpg.

My S gets roughly 27-28mpg freeway. Some people even pull 30mpg driving 60-65mph. Don't know where you are getting 19mpg figure from unless you're always driving 100+ mph or pushing double the HP somehow.

BTW, we're all sick of hearing how "great" your big truck is. Good for you, jeez.
