Cayman
Welp, I had a serious brain fart and didn't finish typing in the Title "Cayman GT4". If a mod could fix this I'd greatly appreciate it. This is what I get for staying out till 2 last night

Porsche’s mid-engine Cayman coupe has nipped at the heels of the 911 in terms of dynamics almost since the day it was created, and now that tiff may be about to break out into al all-out fistfight. A Motor Trend report suggests Porsche is working on a super-high-performance Cayman variant along the lines of the hard-core 911 GT3—and that it’ll likely be called GT4.
While a potential Cayman GT4 makes sense in a vacuum, in the context of Porsche’s current lineup, it’s a bold move. That’s because Porsche has been extremely careful to keep the Cayman’s output figures and performance just beneath those of the 911. We’ve said it before and we’ll said it again: The Cayman can handle much more gusto than it’s been given. And it appears the GT4 would finally tap that potential while breaking through the Porsche’s glass performance ceiling.

Probably be too expensive for me. I have been looking at picking up a Cayman a couple years from now and hopefully get to do another ED and take it around the ring. Was excited about the new GTS Cayman until I saw it was littered with alcantara. Yuck.
If a GTS is $75k you are probably looking at $90k+ for a GT4.

Great idea, though too rich for me for quite a while. Either way, great move and I think it'll be significantly better than a 911S of the same year...
EDIT: Second link says $125K for a GT4. That's ridiculous, if true. $50K more than a Cayman GTS (66% markup)?!?! Not happening!

Depending on how extreme they make it, I don't think it should cost more than $85k. Either way, I can't afford any new Porsches so nothing here for me to see

I was excited until I saw that. Now, I don't care about it anymore. It will be cool to see how much faster it is than comparably powered 911s but I won't be getting one

even turbo 4 with a hybrid motor. $124K turbo 4 bagger - WAT!?
extremely thought out GT3 version of a cayman is a good idea imo. I didn't think the Cayman R or GTS were too much of a reach into the track car market.

They probably are looking for a good excuse to push the price of the GT3 up. More tech into the GT3 would mean more money for it. more carbon, more fancy suspension.
