The analogy is worthless because the title of this thread is misleading. I too thought this was going to be about a new Celica, and thus my interest piqued. Then I saw you were proxying "Celica" in for the Lotus, and my interest waned.

Not a good way to set up discussion.
Not that I didn't understand the analogy or engine codes, but to imply this thread was about the Celica being "back" is simply misleading. So please don't call me idiotic instead of accepting the title of this thread being misleading and idiotic.

hahaha, you all are missing one key aspect.

There's a TRD SC readily available for that motor. Compression is WAY more turbo/SC friendly.

If this car hits the market it's going to be sad news for the exclusivity of the elise.

With all the owners and enthusiast wanting a factory FI Elise or Exige, I'm suprised to see Lotus going the exact opposite direction.

Depressing....

Hmm, so when Wantone posts a thread called "Sex comes in black," what exact are you thinking of, eh?

Regarding the Elise, it's no less powerful than versions they've been selling for years. There's probably plenty of market for this in the UK, is my WAG.

You dont have to know engine codes , but if you want to consider yourself knowledgable , you know which engines go in which cars. Am I wrong?

What are you talking about? Yes I know, and have known since before the Elise arrived in the U.S. that it was powered by a Toyota engine. How does your thread title in any way imply that you were talking about a Celica engine in an Elise?

You've got a real obtuse idea of how to reference things in your posts.
