Default check engine light came on...

I have a Honda Prelude Type SH and my ATTS light had been on for awhile, but I had it checked out my Honda and they replaced the ATTS control unit. The light was still on for the next month, because they did not reset it since their PGM tester was broken and the part was on back order.

Just an hour ago my check engine light comes on out of no where and it will not go away when i turn it off. Everything seems to be normal. I think this could be related to the ATTS problem. Im getting Honda to look at it tomorrow, but I am a little furstrated and worried that it could be something major.

Also, a few weeks back my brake light would come on even when the hand brake was not engaged. It would go away after driving for a few minutes. I think there may be some sort of electrical problem with my car.

Your brake fluid level is low. The fluid expands when the brakes are warm enough, the light then goes away.

Not sure about your CEL.

You can also check to see if your gas cap is on tight.
My brother had to drive around 3-4 days for the CEL to go away from a gas cap loose problem.
