my car, Jetta 1.8T, was making weird jerk when i was driving home.
It was making steady mild jerks when i was accelaratiing in any gear ( its manual)
and smells like something is buring, and engine light is blinking.
Is it cuz of clutch is almost at the end of life?

in whatever gear i am, when i put my foot on gas, its jerking.
Whats going on? im gonna go to shop tomorrow but, i just wanna know whats going on if u guys know.

Did you drive with your parking brake up when you were driving home?

 

yea i was skeptical about that so i checked several times if brake was engaged. but it wasn't. And when i test drove in the morning,
its still jerking...and no acceleration. only steady running with jerks...

my shop is closed today and others say they have to see the car,
but im afraid to even drive there. i guess i'll wait till monday.
