this morning my car felt kind of weird. engaging my clutch at 1st was strange. i had to push down on the accelerator a lot to get the car moving. in other gears, my rpms were fine, but my mph were off. i was reving but the car wasnt going as it usually does. my friend told me that my problem was that my clutch was slipping. i thought it was just the temp, because it was pretty hot today.

if, lets say in 4th gear im at around 6000rpms, i would be at 40mph. if indeed this is a clutch failure. is it safe for me to drive around? or should i take it to get inspected asap?

dont drive it
just take it to dealer like you said. and Fix it.

 

It also could be sticking brake calipers. This happened on my car. Either situation is not good.
