Default Concepts that will never make it to Production

Well, as I looked over pics of the concept Acura RD-X (yet another SUV to the market - WOOHOO!), I couldn't get over what will OBVIOUSLY not come to production. So, here are some pics and please share your thoughts. Sure, another 5 years from now, maybe these concepts will arrive, but for a vehicle that is scheduled to launch this Fall, doubtful.

Tailpipe moulded into the rear bumper.

Wiper blades?

Uuuummmm...right. We'll never see this. Is that "gator skin" on the steering wheel?

Ultra-HIDS? Haha, cool.

My absolute FAV! Sooo cool and stylish - NEVER to be seen in production!

Now...this could come into production, but I doubt it will be seemless to the front and rear windshields.

Neon tail lamps, ultra cool and ultra expensive.

I love that we have these on concept vehicles as it shows what WE are capable of building/manufacturing/designing. It's also cool to see these slowly get into production. Thoughts?

Nice but overall doesn't look that different from Lexus RX or Infiniti FX to me from the outside. I imagine those flush tailpipe outlets would get fouled from exhaust and look pretty nasty. Why not put a camera on the rear tailgate too, instead of just where the side mirrors would go?

I think the front is pretty distinctive from the Lexus RX or Infiniti, and if anything it looks like a baby md-x. Some of the things like the rear-view camera mirrors won't make it, not because Honda wouldnt want to, but because they would probably be better suited to the more expensive model (MD-X).

I think stuff like that camera will make it. Why? Because, w/ the new RL (not the v8 one), Honda is starting to be able to compete against companies like Lexus. Anyhoo, cameras are dirt cheap in terms of production. If Honda wants Acura to be taken seriously as a luxury line of cars, they'd better! I'm gonna be looking forward to this car.

Rear view cameras are already in production for larger vehicles like motorhomes and some commercial trucks. The jump to "normal" cars and trucks is probably just on the horizon.

As for the sunroof running up the spine of the car, that's already in production on the Nissan Maxima.

At the moment the practical concerns keeping the molded in exhaust tips from production are heat transfer and production tolerances. I'm sure in time both of those can be resolved.

Those are LED headlights. Probably a couple years away from production.

The concept for the Ridgeline had stupid looking headlights which are similar to those on the RD-X concept.
