Continuation of Socrates NSX thread

what i think is so interesting about this thread, is how so many people enjoy wasting energy fighting over comparisons of a stock car. in reality, who cares. yes the NSX was never meant to be a supercar. that doesnt mean its a pile, like some of these inbred hicks like to say. yes the Z06 is a bad ride. but it took chevy since 1953 to get it right. let honda have 50 yrs of nsx production, and see how it comes out. itd be 900 HP aspirated F1 v8, detuned. and itd annihilate anything. but NOOO, you guys are crying since theyve made it for 14 yrs or so, and it doesnt run 10's ,, who cares.
i have a friend who has one turbo'd and it runs low 11s, and anyone with a brain knows nsx isnt a drag car, but he enjoys playing with it as such. we wont even go into its track performance. lets just say Z06 isnt even in the mirrors.
bottom line, if your lacking in the anatomical department, and you have to have a Z06 so you can sleep at nite, more power to ya, but let those who enjoy japanese culture, and thus the automotive marvels which it produces, enjoy their cars without having to constantly hear about how your c5, or your cobra is faster. i for one am tired of it. when your american car is blown up, or sold, or in a junk yard, long after that, most of these s2000's will still be running, and turning 9k rpm. and they will not have lost there value, because the c7 just came out, or whatever gen is next.
anyways take it easy all, and thank you for reading my two cents

1) low 11s is still not fast especially for having an aftermarket turbo
2) how long has Honda been making cars?
3) "we wont even go into its track performance. lets just say Z06 isnt even in the mirrors." I know a couple modified Z06s locally that can say the same thing about his car.
4) I dont buy cars because of Japanese culture since I am not Japanese.
5) If one of your main reasons for buying a car is resale value, I feel sorry for you.

So now we have deteriorated into the ricer excuses portion of this thread. It took a while.
If this, if that.
If I had a pair of wings I could fly, but I don't, so I can't.
Next up, resale. Psst the corvette has one of the best resale values out there -- of any car.
And finally, the last stance of the really stupid import bigot, quality. Whoa, someone must not be buying the same Japanese cars I am, because they are far from perfect. Sure, most of us will agree that on average Japanese cars are built a bit better than domestics, but when you start throwing in word like heaps and junk your lack of actual experience shines through invalidating all that you have said.

1) not making fun of your friend's car at all; moreso making fun of the NSX's limited capabilities like you just pointed out.
3) apples to apples - stock Z06 would beat a stock NSX on most tracks, modified Z06 would beat modified NSX on most tracks
4) you are out of your mind if you think I am going to buy a 80 thousand dollar car because it somehow "shows respect for Japanese culture." Thats one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. I am from Asia too and have been taught how to respect other but the respect card does not apply in this arguement.
5) I owned an S2000 (and prolly will get another one) and never said a NSX is a bad car. I am just trying to point out people like Socrates who wants to argue about its performance.
Like I said, I would take an NSX if someone gave me one. Its a really cool car. Looks nice. Drives very nice. But I am looking for performance to dollar ratio which it sucks at.
