Don't forget about the Taurus SHO-"san".
Or the Dodge "sayanara" Stealth.
GM "Ichiban" Tracker.
Ford "Escape-O".
Honda Accord-eh.
Pontiac "Domo" Vibe.
Toyota "Cannuck" Camry.

There are lot of Saturn owners who will argue this point with you. Many are well over 100K miles without a glitch, some over 200K miles and they are some of the most satisfied and loyal owners in the world. The new Dodge Viper is "designed" by a Japanese fellow. An awesome car but any bets on how long before "reliability" issues come up? Oh, and some of the new Nissan vehicles have been designed and "thought up" in California by "westerners" schooled in California design academies. So are these still Japanese cars? By your logic - NO!

Not to mention their "looks." How can you say Japanese cars have better looks when you obviously have no clue what a Japanese car is?

Sorry I got distracted. I can't say much about the current Vette. I had an '88 and a '90. Back then there were many stories (and they were only stories) of Vettes being in mishaps where the entire car disintegrated but the occupants escaped death and mutilation. The beauty of those cars was that the car took the hit. I don't know about GM trying to hide anything. They may very well be. Crash tests are only yardsticks by which real world scenarios can be "represented". I have personally seen examples of every type of car where occupants were trapped and badly hurt where the car was one of the "safe" cars (Volvo, Benz) and I have seen people get up and walk away from so called "tin boxes" that were almost crushed beyond recognition. I remember pulling a "Tempo" name plate out of one wreckage.
I never felt "unsafe" in either of my Vettes. I've seen one after being rolled and the driver protected. I'm sure there are cases of the other kind of outcome too.

Because not everybody drives their Corvettes at 180 MPH, I won't even take mine over 90.

Moron alert....

Maybe you should spend more time doing your homework and less fantasizing about cars.

Your parents aren't that smart to be driving that fast in a vehicle that will fall over with a good gust of wind.

My corvette is a 1970 Stingray convertible with 63,000 miles on it. I want it to last...

Look at what you just wrote and think real hard about it, ok?
