Hmmm, I'd hand it down to the newborn as my excuse to keep the car.

I had a 91 CRX (the Aussie ones had the twin-cam engines 96(?)kW and all the power crap) a few of the VTEC engined ones made it here as imports. I modded mine a little bit and loved it to death. It's a pity that my ex-mechanic crashed it before I could get the quick-ratio steering rack fitted. (yes the steering was too slow for the taily rear end).

It always held it's own against Toyota MR2's and Mazda MX-5's (Miata's to you) on the track. Even against 5.0 & 5.6 litre HSV's.

I only got an Integra Type R because there wasn't anything else on the market that could replace my CRX (the Integra is too damn big for me)

Hmmm. I owned 3 CRX's: 86,87 & 91, all SI's. MY91 was the best of the lot because it was as far as Honda took that design. Still, as witnessed by the non-U.S.-spec CRX's, it could have been a lot better. I lived in Big Sur, Calif., when I had the 91, and I will tell you honestly that that little car humbled a lot of fancy Euro iron costing many times the $12K I paid for it new. If you know the road, know the car and know your limits, it is an incredible ride! Back when it had staff with a clue, Car & Driver wrote of the 91 CRX si: "Porsche fun for the price of a Hershey Bar." All I can add is a big "Amen." If you know California Highway 1, you'll appreciate it when I tell you one of the most incredible motoring rushes I have ever had was 4-wheel drifting my last CRX through almost the entire radius of the Little Sur River Bridge. YOWWWW! Sad ending, however. A couple of months before I took delivery of my S2K, I sold the CRX to a kid who had been BEGGING me for it. It was pretty tired but straight & I sold it for $2500. Two weeks later he'd wrecked it. Idiot.

I had 4 CRX's before my s2000. I have number 4 left and have no plans to sell it. The first one i bought for $500. It was a 87, carburated motor, broke down on me all the time, i still loved it though. When it finally died completely i went out and bought a 91 HF. Was going to put a fresh b16 into it and half way throught the transplant, i went bankrupt. So I sold it and then 3 months later bought a 89 Si. Put a b16 into it, coilovers, rims, clutch, new intake manifold, ported and polished head, new pistons, Nice ass stereo, bunch of momo shifter stuff, bodykit, paintjob. CRX #3 was off the hook. Then about 6 months later, after i beat the crap out of it, i decided to get a new motor for some more power. Went to sell it on ebay and ended up trading the b16 for another CRX. Then i got screwed over with the title stuff by the guy who gave me CRX #4. After messing around with the 2 i made my decision to just buy something newer and better. What else than a beautiful S2000. But i will never sell my Rex.
