K20A has VTC, which is a variable cam timing and VTEC, which changed cam lobes

The F20C only have VTEC which changes cam lobes

This gives the K20A superior low end power up to about 6,700 RPM, then the F20C overtakes it. I've had a K20A form a DC5 Type R and my current S2000 dynoed stock in the same dyno...

F20C = red
K20A = blue

This is a generalization...get real...this is not always true! and have been proven many many times already...just the 5th gear epsiode where the EP type R beat the S2000 in a circuit race between Tiff Needel and Jason Plato...

Also in WTCC and BTCC, FF cars and FR cars are very competitive with each other and swap places all the time..some tracks, FRs are better, and in some FFs are better.

You are correct sir, an FWD car can be made as fast around a track than a comparable RWD car. But one thing that will always plague FWD in racing, is the tire wear. RWD will always be superior in racing because of this. And then there is the fun factor... Overall though RWD>FWD.

If everything is equal, which it never is you have more then just tire wear to worry about with a FWD car. Once you start putting over 300+HP to the front wheels you have serious issues with torque steer and traction trying to get out of corners. A fwd car at even modest racing HP is a huge burden. The cars you guys are comparing against have very low HP ratings. Some of the early race cars were FWD, but they became so dangerous at even modest HP levels people stopped racing them. But, even with modest HP levels the fact the wheels doing the most turning and braking are also doing the accel will always be a disadvantage. Your weight dist will always suck (unless you add ballast to the rear making the car heavy, but that sux too) and it poses a lot of packaging issues for suspension in the front.

If you are comparing too different cars and the FWD one happens to be faster on track does that mean FWD is better or even as good as RWD, no. It means it was probably executed better then the RWD platform was executed for those two particular cars. There is nothing wrong with FWD, but it is what it is and nothing more.

I didn't mean it as RWD is better than FWD, I was just point out the difference over the 2 motors, Sorry.

I seen ITRs take E46 M3s on the turns.

You guys are harsh. How about the volume produced and aftermarket support. Don't K20's beat F20's on that basis? It sure didn't take long for forced induction choices when the RSX-S first came out.

^ I agree. I think it's also what you are used to. I have only driven RWD cars my whole life. The ebo is my first non-RWD car. The first track day in it I couldn't figure out why it only pushed and was so slow. I was driving it like a RWD car. I was braking late and was hard on the gas late. Once i started braking early, carrying a little less speed in the corners and got on the gas really early it drove a lot better.
