Considering you can buy a nice 2000 S2000 for 11 000$, why on Earth would you overpay for a 1997 Integra unless you needed the backseats?

And I have owned a 1999 ITR.

at $2K delta nobody knows what is the "right" price. It's not like he's asking double the market price, so go ahead and negotiate a deal you're happy with.

Are you positive the car has the original B18C5 engine in it? (the engine should be stamped). At the bottom of the link it suggests this engine is a JDM GSR (and it looks like one, too - valve cover and oil cap - though obviously those can be changed).

The shell is definitely an ITR (no rear wiper, no sunroof, reinforced bar across the back of the hatch).

It's worth keeping in mind that you can replace an ENTIRE B18C5 for about $2-$3K, so it's really not a big deal if the body is in good shape and the engine goes at some point. A lot of these cars are lasting through 150K miles, YMMV.

This one seems a bit random though, with the s2k seats, JDM-looking engine. Do your diligence.

My thoughts exactly, but if you can talk him down a bit on price new tires would be affordable.

The words at the bottom of the link are just tags. Don't quote me but I think the 94-97 integras had the different valve covers. Pretty sure that oil cap isn't oem either
